Time to run!

Have you ever done a 5K run?

I have done a 5K run here in America, it was called the Queen’s 5K Romp.

I don’t know how Mum got me into running the 5K.  I hope that everyone does well in the cross country!

We got a choice of wearing a tutu and a tiara or just wearing one of those or wearing none of the options. Mum and I wore tiaras for the run.  Mum and I can’t believe that I came 70th out of about 700 people, I think that is amazing!

I hope that all you Point Lonnie kids do well and stay fit and healthy!

  1. Hi Bethany.

You are an awesome girl! So is your Mum! I was so stoked you ran so well – just running 5 km makes me feel tired just thinking about it.

I have forgotten to log onto your site for ages so will now keep up with it a bit more.

We leave for Central Australia soon for two months or so. I will enjoy teaching on another station this year. Charlotte is 5 years old, so she will be much the same stage as Elora.

Are you keeping up your running or have you had enough of it? I can imagine you would be good. Your Mum was a terrific distance runner when she was your age. Truly.

Love and hugs. Miss our hugs.

  2. Hi Beth,
I can’t beleive your mum come 70th with 700 people. We just did the second round of cross conutry! I came nineteenth, but didn’t go thourgh to the next round. The top 12 do, I think. Lucy came first!!!!
And do you remember Alexis, she left school to go to a place about 6hours away from school!!!!!!!!! We all brought some party food and had a little party when she left. D: 🙁
Oh and this year it’s the Bourgh of Queenscliffe’s 150th Birthday!!!!!!!
Hope you are having a great time in America. Have you made any friends? Do you have an American acent?
    From your friend,
    Josie. 😀

    • Hey Josie,
Well, you did a great job and congratulate Lucy for me please. 🙂
I think you mean I came 70th and Mum came something like 74th. 😉
I’m sad to hear about Alexis, but how is everyone? I want to know how Mr.Ahern is.
I want to go on your blog and I can’t remember the name of it, can you please tell me?
I’ve made heaps of friends but most of them left at the end of the school year and some of them stayed.
I only have and accent when I’m speaking to my friends.
      From your friend,
      Bethany.

  3. Wow – that is fantastic Bethany! Well done! And well done to your mum as well. Hope you’re keeping up the running. At least one of us are keeping fit. 😉

  4. Hi Bethany
So Sorry I have not got back to you sooner. How wonderful to run in such a great race and to come in the top 10%. That’s truly fantastic. You must be very fit to do that. 5Km is quite a long way. Congratulations!

When I was your age I was not able to run long distances – I preferred to run short sprints. I guess that I did not develop the lung capacity to last a long time. Just quietly, I think I might have been a little lazy.

I am really proud of you for getting involved in activities like this – It is good to mix with as many people as possible – it;s good for your confidence.

    Love
    Nana Erin
